Populating servers with their leafy goodness, Restoration Druids make one of the most interesting healing classes in World of Warcraft! They are not only able to switch between raid healing and big tank heals, but the can temporarily fill a different role through the use of talents. Druids rely mostly on HoTs (Heals over Time) and keeping up several buffs. Luckily most of their spells are instant casts, making them very mobile healers and great for fights that require loads of movement.
Things You Should Know
When trying to decide if you should use Rebirth on a fallen member, remember that shamans have Reincarnate and resurrect themselves. Also, tanks and healers usually have priority over reviving a dps. Same your mana and your cooldown, communicate with your raid team and figure out when to use Rebirth. Note: There is a limit to how many times your team can resurrect players per raid encounter. It is best to figure out from your raid leader when it is best to revive a fallen comrade.
Druids are the only class that can fill all four roles (Heals, Tank, Ranged, and Melee). Be sure to let people know what spec you when looking for a group.
Just because you are a healer and spend most of your time in caster form, doesn't mean you can't use your bear form abilities when you are in a bind. Using Might of Ursoc, for example will help you survive an angry mob long enough for a tank to grab aggro. Just be sure to run those mobs to the tank so he can help you much quicker. Same goes for cat abilities, dash will give you a temporary speed boost that can get you out of a sticky situation. Immediately go back to healing as soon as possible though, the longer you spend without healing the more likely your group will be in trouble.
